River Spey Anglers Association will be able to encourage local children to pick up and try some new fly fishing gear thanks to an award to match the sponsorship of £500 from Smiths Gore of Fochabers under the sports sponsorship scheme SPORTSMATCH.
In 2009 Smiths Gore donated a further sum of £300 to assist with the promotion of the junior setion of RSAA. Representaives from the firm came along to the junior outing on Saturday 7th November to see at first hand how their donation is helping this important aspect of the Association's activities.

Funded by the Scottish Executive and administered by Sportscotland, SPORTSMATCH was launched in 1992 to encourage businesses to sponsor community sports projects. Today, SPORTSMATCH partners a wide range of businesses of all sizes, matching their sponsorship £ for £ and publicly acknowledging their contribution to sport in the community.

The Baxters Foundation are the latest organisation to provide financial support to the RSAA Junior Section. They have provided us with a grant of £1600 to purchase fishing caps for our young anglers and to fund the cost of some 'Baxters' junior fishing outings. These outing will be organised in 2008 and the new caps with the Baxters and RSAA logos should be ready for the start of the new season.
